What to Expect at Your First Consultation:
Your initial consultation will be at least one hour via video conference. It is essential you allow ample time for us to work together. Your physician will review the labs or imaging results that you provide ahead of time via fax or secure client portal. We take the time to listen to your life story, health history, what you have tried, what has worked, and what has failed.
We will educate you about what we believe is going on inside your body, describe the physiologic pathways that may be malfunctioning, explain why blood levels are sub-optimal, and then educate you on how to will help improve these imbalances or deficiencies.
The tools utilized are often physician-quality nutritional supplements and herbs that are specifically targeted to your case. All of the products recommended at Ocotillo Integrative adhere to GMP manufacturing standards. These supplements and herbs are used to delicately balance chemical and hormonal levels that may be hypo-functioning without side effects of suppression, common with many prescription medications.
Initial Investment:
The cost of your visit will be $1,200 for the first 4 months or $1,500 for the first 6 months, follow up visits after this will be $200 for 30-45 minutes. This includes the first in-depth initial 60-75 minute consultation and 45 minute monthly follow ups.
Nutritional supplements that support health programs will be in addition to your consultation charge. They can range from less than $50 a month to $150 a month in complex cases. Each case is unique but we try to keep it as lean and targeted as possible.
In addition, you may decide together that lab work would provide more information for your case. Sometimes your local PCP will be willing to work with Dr.Haebe and order labs collaboratively, or you may need additional functional medicine testing (DUTCH urinary/salivary tests, or a food allergy panel) which are self-pay and range from $99-$499 dependent on tests.
Urgent Symptoms or Emergency?
Call 911, visit an urgent care facility or emergency room. Ocotillo Integrative physicians are not your primary care physicians and only act as health consultant providing naturopathic education. Please do not hesitate to obtain the medical help you need immediately.
What Ocotillo Integrative Physicians do NOT do:
Our physicians do NOT practice as primary care providers, conduct physical exams or write prescriptions. We provide health consultation and education. All health decisions must be discussed with your local primary care physician before beginning any new supplements, diets, workout plans.
We do not work with suicidal depression, cancer, kidney disease or insulin-dependent diabetes, children nor women while currently pregnant.
We work with all of our patient’s primary care physicians to help order lab testing, and we keep an open line of communication as needed with our treatment goals and plans.
Do You Accept Insurance?
We do not accept insurance however, HSA/FSA often covers consultations.
If your primary care physician is ordering your labs, they may be run them through your insurance provider in that manner; however, any costs incurred are the sole responsibility of the patient. Speak with your PCP and insurance provider for questions regarding lab coverage.
Does it matter where I buy my supplements?
We KNOW it does! Most nutritional supplements are not well regulated and it is difficult to know if you are actually getting what the label says you are, it’s also difficult to know if the nutrients are in the most absorbable forms or available in therapeutic dosage ranges. Dr. Haebe’s extensive knowledge in biochemistry and physiology makes her an experts in supplementation. The products in our supplement store are all CGMP, they come from trusted companies that meet a higher level of standards which we feel confident, will provide you with the best results.
